The psalmist says the Word of the Lord kept testing Joseph until Joseph's own word came true. While I wait, I want to be grateful that the Word of the Lord is still here. Psalm 105:1-6, 16-22

Paul says to the believers in Rome, the Word is near you, that is, the story of Jesus is right there in the Old Testament. Whoever, Jew or non-Jew, who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and you will be blessed if you spread that word. Romans 10:5-15

Consider the tone of Jesus' statement to Peter, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" Was it a shaming statement pronounced over Peter's adventure out of the boat? Or was it a private inquiry about what went wrong in such a good adventure? Matthew 14:22-33

Thoughts about Listening

Most of the time, persistence is the key. Your dreams matter. Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28

Showing a kind spirit at the time of unfairness, deprivation, and uncertainty will help me as much as those to whom I'm kind. Psalm 105:1-6, 16-22
