1. How do you tell whether or not a dream of yours has meaning for your life? Discuss with your group using dreams as symbols or for life improvement or advancement.
2. Read or listen to Daniel 7:1-15. Briefly review and tell the story of Belshazzar from Daniel 5, so you know the setting in which Daniel had and wrote this dream. Why do you think he mentioned that he told the “whole matter”?
3. Read or listen to Daniel 7:1-15. Re-tell or draw the dream step by step. Don’t try to make meaning of each picture or scene. Just immerse and soak in the dream itself. After doing this well, tell how you feel having waked up.
4. Read or listen to Daniel 7:1-15. Notice and discuss these connections to Revelation: Lion, Bear, Leopard animals from the sea (Revelation 13:1-2); Books (Revelation 13:8); God’s Judgment (Revelation 14:7). What do you think it means that the strongest connection between Daniel and Revelation lies at the center of each book?
5. Read or listen to Daniel 7:1-15. Locate the “Ancient of Days” and the “Son of Man” in the scene. What is the role of each? What happened to the animals in the dream? (Compare Revelation 19:19-20 for the animals.) (Compare Mark 2:10, 28 for what authority the “Son of Man” has.)
