1. Are your grandchildren doing what you wish they were? Are you doing what your grandparents wished for you? Tell someone who will listen to you.

2. Read or listen to Daniel 5. Belshazzar was Nebuchadnezzar’s grandson. Belshazzar’s father Nabunidus did not like to rule so put the kingdom in the hands of his son. Belteshazzar was the name given to Daniel by Nebuchadnezzar. Discuss why you think Daniel was missing from the party at first.

3. Read or listen to Daniel 5 with Revelation 8-11. Consider especially Daniel 5:1-4 and 26 with Revelation 9:20; 10:7; and 11:10, looking for similar words, phrases, or scenes. The point in both books is that there is a last night for oppressors.

4. Read or listen to Daniel 5. Re-tell, draw, dance, or dramatize the story. Compare verses 18-23 with Revelation 14:8. Tell what you think is the problem with Babylon.

5. Read or listen to Daniel 5:18-23 with Daniel 4:34-37. Describe and discuss what it was that Belshazzar did not learn from his grandfather Nebuchadnezzar? Scholars think the queen in verse 10 is the queen-mother, Nebuchadnezzar’s wife, Belshazzar’s grandmother. What are you learning from your grandparents about following God?

1.    ¿Sus nietos están haciendo lo que quisiera que hicieran? ¿Está haciendo lo que sus abuelos deseaban para usted? Dígaselo a alguien que lo escuche.

2.    Leer o escuchar Daniel 5. Belsasar era el nieto de Nabucodonosor. El padre de Belsasar, Nabunidus no quería gobernar, así que puso el reino en las manos de su hijo. Beltsasar fue el nombre dado a Daniel por Nabucodonosor. Comente por qué cree que Daniel estuvo desaparecido el principio de la fiesta.
