Jeremiah shows dire consequences to Israel and Judah for forgetting God in their thoughts, for uselessly primping for other lovers, and for sheltering murderers. Jeremiah 4:11-12, 22-28
The psalmist calls them fools who say there is no God. They do hurtful things. Among them there is no one who does good, says the psalmist. Wow! It's a staggering indictment. Psalm 14
Paul said it happened to him as a pattern for others, so I can say with Paul, "It is true that Jesus came to save sinners, and I am one of them." 1 Timothy 1:12-17
Every day I am lost and found. Every day there is rejoicing in heaven over me. What an amazing fact! Luke 15:1-10
Thoughts about Listening
Is our world any safer now than ancient kingdoms were, who oppressed the poor, primped for the favored, and sheltered murderers? Jeremiah 4:11-12, 22-28
Better to listen to and help the plans of the poor, rather than to impose upon the poor the plans of others for them. Psalm 14
Find someone who can handle it to take your depression to. It helps to talk to a listener. 1 Timothy 1:12-17
