Obsessed with selling. Making the ounces few and the dollars many, measuring short gallons and expanded meat. Trampling, ruining, then buying for little even human beings. The land will tremble because of it. Amos 8:1-12

I need beware if my tongue cuts like a razor, or loves lies and evil or words that devour and deceive. God will break me down. Psalm 52

The mystery, hidden but now shown to believers everywhere, and preached for the good of every person, is that Christ among us is our hope of glory, both of joy and beauty here and of wealth and splendor to come, all to the praise of God. Colossians 1:15-28

Really now, does everything you say have conscious intention to sell something, persuade someone, or argue a cause? Or do you sometimes just wish to be with someone without defending or persuading? Amos 8:1-12

I choose to avoid words and tone meant to cut, trashtalk, devour, or deceive another. Psalm 52

When I was a child I dreamed of having secret codes and mottoes among my friends. I think I wanted the sense belonging that would come from shared secrets. I think I need to pay attention to that desire for belonging even as an adult. Colossians 1:15-28
