Bible Reading Group Homework
1. Do you remember the last time you disrespected your mother? Tell the group about her response.
2. Read or listen to Matthew 21:33-46. Act out this story together. Make it about employees, owner, and middle-management. Or make it about apartment renters, owner, and site managers. Or make it about construction workers, land owners, and contractors. What would it take to disrespect the owner as much as this story tells?
3. Read or listen to Exodus 20:1-4. After God delivered Israel, what did God ask them to do? Consider what changes this would require them in their thinking and possessions.
4. Read or listen to Psalm 19. What is richer than money, and sweeter than honey? Read this Psalm together so you can hear each others’ voices and ponder the words.
5. Read or listen to Philippians 3:4-14. Paul was good at doing what other people said was the law. Then he met Jesus. Discuss together how everything changed. Did Paul’s following of Jesus cause him to stop respecting the Ten Commandments? Discuss Romans 7:7-12 in this context.
******************
Entonces conoció a Jesús.
