1. List and describe the changes in Information Technology during your lifetime. Bigger? Smaller? Powerful?
2. Read or listen to Revelation 13:11-14. Compare the origins of the two animals (Revelation 13:1 and 11). Compare Revelation 21:1 and Revelation 12:16 and discuss what must have been the general feelings brought up by each designation of origin.
3. Read or listen to Revelation 13:11-12. Describe the two animals, the one he looked like, and the one he spoke like. Compare Revelation 5:5-6, 12 and Revelation 12:3-4, 17 with this second animal in Revelation 13. Discuss the difference between a Lion-Lamb and a Lamb-Dragon.
4. Read or listen to Revelation 13:11-14. Get the whole story from the Old Testament, of fire from heaven, in 1 Kings 18. Expand your reading to 1 Kings 17-19. Read several times and discuss the possible effects of this memory both on people reading Revelation and on the dragon, Satan.
5. Read or listen to Revelation 13:11-14. Compare and contrast the characteristics and worship patterns of this animal with those of the animal described in Revelation 13:1-8. Consider and discuss various uses and connotations of the word “image.” Read Exodus 20:4-6 and decide again whom you will worship.
