Revelation 22:11-15

1.    Have you ever served on a jury? Review together the various parts and participants in a trial in the American justice system.

2.    Read or listen to Revelation 22:11-15. This section begins with a statement of judgment finished. That is, just a little while before Jesus comes, the choices of people have been made and settled forever, whether for injustice and filth or for justice and holiness. Tell your group of the feelings this thought arouses.

3.    Read or listen to Revelation 22:12-13. Look all around in Revelation 22 for seven instances of this word “Come.” Ponder and discuss how the word is used, who is speaking, and why there are seven instances. Find similarities also in Revelation 1 and discuss why this word appears in both places.

4.    Read or listen to Revelation 22:14-15. See if you can match the negative words (v. 15) with the commandments (Exodus 20:1-17).  Note: “Dogs” was used as a demeaning name for anyone who didn’t follow the commandments (Matthew 15:26-27; 2 Peter 2:21-22). According to verse 14, what is the way to the justice and holiness mentioned in verse 11?

5.    Read or listen to Revelation 22:11-15. Consider and discuss: How many parts are there to thorough judgment and justice? Which parts are done before Jesus comes? Which parts are done at Jesus’ coming? Pray the Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father, together, noticing the request, “Thy kingdom come.”

Finale: What means the most to you out of today’s reading of Revelation 22:11-15? What will you do about it now?

4. Leer o escuchar Apocalipsis 22: 14-15.
