Thinking of the water shaft or tunnel that David used to get access to the Jebusite town. I get very different pictures of the action depending on whether I understand its contents as drinking water, sewage, or dry. 2 Samuel 5:1-11

If we're the underdog, we're grateful for God's justice. Let's notice, however, that no one is underdog every time, everywhere. When we're top dog what do we think of God's justice? Psalm 48

God loves broken and weak people. This is where God's strength can be magnified. 2 Corinthians 12:2-10

They proclaimed that all should repent. This is not just to repent of the sins I've committed since my last confession. This is a call to live on my knees, to enter a state of repentance. Mark 6:1-13

Thoughts about Listening

If you see a need, you want to fill it, others want you to fill it, and you've been prepared to fill it, perhaps there is a rewarding next step in this for you. 2 Samuel 5:1-11

We can celebrate victory or status with gusto, and let us remember with generosity those who didn't get victory or status. Psalm 48
