Because Israel didn't want to hear the voice of God anymore, God promised to send a prophet. In time of course, Israel silenced the prophets. A long time later, Jesus came. Deuteronomy 18:15-20

It's a beautiful psalm climaxing with "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom [and . . .] good understanding." Join me in practicing awareness of God. Psalm 111

Paul would have me remember this about knowledge: 1) I'm not the only one who has it. 2) It can make me arrogant. 3) I don't have all of it or even all I need. 4) Love is imperative. 1 Corinthians 8:1-13

Worship that day was not all peace and joy. Troubled people come to church to meet God. Mark 1:21-28

Thoughts about Listening

Maybe I don't want to hear, and therefore close my ears, to something that would be good and happy for me. Deuteronomy 18:15-20

Notice who hears your encouragement or discouragement. Your wake matters. Psalm 111
