April 19, 2020, Letionary

God raised up Jesus so Jesus could send the Holy Spirit to us. It's all good, folks, it's all good. Acts 2:22-33

David found joy and pleasure in God's presence. Jesus says, Come to me for necessities, and for joy and pleasure. Psalm 16

I have not seen him, nor do I see him now, with my physical eyes, but I love him, and believe in him, and rejoice with an indescribable joy. 1 Peter 1:3-9

John had a clear reason for writing his Gospel: that I might believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and through believing might have life in His name. John 20:19-31

Thoughts about Listening

We will rise again after coronavirus. I hope we rise in remembering to give the earth and the vulnerable a break. Acts 2:22-33

If I think of the release and joy I am midwifing for the other person by listening to them, I can find great joy and pleasure for myself in listening. Psalm 16

Giving the gift of listening can help to keep hope alive in both the listener and the belistened. 1 Peter 1:3-9

If my purpose for writing is clear, the writing is much better. John 20:19-31
