Let not the past, with either its failures nor glories, distract me from my present work. The Lord is with us. Haggai 2:1-9
The Lord [does truly] fulfill the [real and deepest] desire of all who [respect and] fear him [moment by moment and daily]. After years of this, the fulfillments get bigger, I say. Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21
Our present bright hope in Jesus' soon return is dimmed not one photon by knowing there is a terrible, in-God's-face-rebellion yet to be manifested. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5; 13-17
I guess logic says any god worth being a god must be a god of the living. So, apparently, Jesus claimed that logic to prove there is a resurrection. Luke 20:27-38
Thoughts about Listening
You are not the sum total of your past. You are a creative creature in the present. Haggai 2:1-9
I work best in a situation where there is someone bigger/higher than me and my coworkers, someone whom we each respect and admire. Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21
Being part of a community who can listen to you is a big factor in keeping hope in the midst of despair. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5; 13-17
Just to cover all bases, ask yourself today what will you do after this life. Luke 20:27-38
