The plain of Dura we don’t know much about, but the province of Babylon was the land of Shinar (Daniel 1:2) and Shinar had history as a place of building (Genesis 11:1-4). Compare and discuss the story of Babel with this story of Babylon.

3.    Read or listen to Daniel 3:1, 4, 10, 24-25. Now let’s notice the literary connections. Compare Revelation 13:15-18; 14:6-12; 4:5; 5:6, the numbers, the decrees, the fire, and Jesus.

4.    Read or listen to Daniel 3. Tell, draw, dance, or dramatize the story. Where would you decide are the apex and climax of the story? The high point and the main point?

5.    Read or listen to Daniel 3:17-18. Research, find, and tell a story of someone who believed and trusted in God through very great trouble, despite a grim outlook. What could you do today to increase your belief and trust in God?

Finale: What means the most to you out of today’s reading of Daniel 3? What will you do about it now?
